Fuck yeah! Best original screenplay!
And it’s even better that he ignores the awards! :)

How did we get here? Only two songs from movies were worthy of Oscar nominations? From, the country that brought you “Let’s Hear It for the Boy” and “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You”??
Very good read.
PS: If you follow just one Tumblr account, make it NPR’s. So many interesting posts. Keep up the good job, people who update it (and who actually write them)!
I didn’t really understand some of her character’s motivations but I loved her performance and thought the movie was fantastic. Truly an actors showcase.
So good!!
There’s not much to understand there, which is part of why this film is so amazing. Easily better than at least six of the ten nominees for Best Picture at the Oscars. Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences, you are a joke.
ALSO, Christian Bale should have won the Oscar for “Best Batman”.
You know it’s true.
(also best psycho killer)
So, here’s what I thought about the Oscars last night:
-Best actress - Natalie Portman. Well deserved (though I would not be upset at all had Michelle Williams won instead).
-Best supporting actor - Christian Bale - FUCK YES
-Best adapted screenplay - The Social Network - Awesome
-Best score - The Social Network - FUCK YES (2)
-Best supporting actress - Melissa Leo - Because we know that acting is all about getting the makeup department to make you look different (she wasn’t bad, just not as amazing as people make it seem). Loved her speech, though
-Best actor - Colin Firth - Meh. He deserved it last year. This year Eisenberg and Bridges were much better, and both were worse than the amazing Ryan Gosling, who wasn’t even nominated.
-Best picture - The King’s Speech - Meh. Better films were nominated.
-Best director - The guy who directed King’s Speech - YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME. He was the worst of the five nominated. A travesty. It’s almost as if the Academy were made in its majority of people who don’t know anything about direc… oh, nevermind.
All and all, a lot better than last year, which was about the worst thing to ever happen to cinema. I still have nightmares.
Oh, I almost forgot:
The hosts - No. Just no. They’re good actors, super charismatic and whatever, but they can’t handle this. It was boring. Bring Jon Stewart back, please!
