Very interesting article on this week’s The New Yorker. Bad news if you’re unhappy: even winning the lottery won’t change that. Neither will a bunch of other stuff you might think would make you happy.
I could’ve told you all that, but these people have actually researched this, in case you need that. Cheer up, though. This doesn’t mean it’s impossible to be happy, it’s just harder than you think, and we usually go about it the wrong way.
It’s a good read.
